Rajesh (Raj) Soin
Chairman of the Board


CTech is an affiliate of Soin International (www.soinintl.com). Mr. Soin is the founder, chairman and chief executive officer of Soin International. Mr. Soin is a successful businessman known throughout the world for his business acumen, leadership and expertise in growth-oriented businesses covering multiple industries. The Raj Soin College of Business at Wright State University, Dayton, Ohio is an example of Mr. Soin’s steadfast dedication to world-class leadership. In capacity of CTech’s Chairman of the Board, Mr. Soin provides his invaluable advice and direction to CTech’s operating management.

Mr. Soin, who believes that the best investments are in bright, dedicated people, has taken this philosophy to heart and allows the entrepreneurs who manage each of the Soin International companies the necessary freedom to provide the highest level of service to their customers.

The most prominent among Mr. Soin’s successes is the first, MTC Technologies Inc. (www.mtctechnologies.com), now a public company listed on the NASDAQ National Market under the symbol MTCT. Mr. Soin founded MTC in 1984 as a multifaceted, high-technology, and engineering services company that has grown from its roots to a company twenty years later approaching $275 million in sales.

Mr. Soin is a graduate of Delhi University in 1969 with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 1971 he received a Masters of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Bradley University. Over the years, he has continued his post-graduate studies in business and finance at Bradley University, Illinois State University and the advanced management programs at Harvard University and The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Soin serves on numerous local and statewide boards and actively supports a long list of community projects.

Tarun Maini
Founder/Managing Partner


Tarun founded CTech in 1998 with a vision to provide services in Medical Records space and started Medical Transcription Services using global resources. Prior to founding CTech in 1998, he has over 13 years of diverse experience as an Information Technology professional in industries like Construction, Automotive and Healthcare. Throughout his career, he has held several positions in the IT field. Mr. Maini was a Software Engineer with Unisys Corporation from 1986 to 1988. He joined Electronic Data Systems (EDS) in 1989 and was managing Systems Engineering staff at EDS till 1997. During his tenure at EDS, he supported IT services at several General Motors accounts and had a broad exposure to industry leading IT practices and their impact on providing value-added services to clients. As an independent consultant for a year after, he was part of a high-level team at a major acute-care health system that studied the feasibility and submitted the findings and recommendations for implementing a $15M PACS system.

Tarun strongly believes in the key role of technology in offering value to the clients and has aligned CTech with industry-leading technology providers in MT and physician billing space.

He also holds a director’s position on the Board of CTech InfoSolutions Private Limited, New Delhi, India - CTech’s subsidiary. He graduated from Delhi University in 1985 with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 1992, Tarun received a Masters of Science degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from The University of Michigan.

Kevin Robie
Business Strategy Consultant
Vice President, Soin International


Mr. Robie is Vice-President of Portfolio Management responsible for providing strategic management, administrative support and financial services to the Soin International portfolio of businesses.

Mr. Robie started his career in 1981 with The Reynolds & Reynolds Company in Dayton, OH and held a sequence of senior level marketing and general management positions over his 20-year career with Reynolds. In 2001 Mr. Robie was named Vice-President of Marketing for The Relizon Company. Relizon is an $800 million document management and business process-outsourcing provider that was formerly the Information Solutions Group of The Reynolds & Reynolds Co. – sold to The Carlyle Group in 2000. Mr. Robie is a senior level executive with broad experience in business operations including sales, all phases of marketing and P&L management.

Mr. Robie is a 1979 graduate of the University of Dayton with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing. In 1980 he graduated with a Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of Dayton with a concentration in marketing and finance.

Mr. Robie currently holds the position of Vice-President – Board of Directors for two National Heritage Academy Charter Schools located in Dayton OH. National Heritage Academy, headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan, owns and operates over 50 charter schools nationwide. In addition, he is a member of an advisory board for a local communications firm.

Judi Barrett
Transcription Manager
Medical Transcription Services


Judi has over 19 years of experience in acute care and outpatient clinical medical transcription services including 16 years as the department manager at one of Southeast Michigan’s largest healthcare organizations where she implemented one of the country’s first medical transcription departments which allowed employees to work off-site. She is also an independent medical transcriptionist. Judi has been a trainer on continuous quality improvement and a speaker on continuous quality improvement within a medical transcription department at the AAMT Convention held in Dallas, Texas. Judi has also held positions as an administrative assistant in a community education department and an office manager for a four-office outpatient mental health clinic.

Judi joined CTech in 2002 as the manager of transcription services. Judi’s experience in the medical transcription field has enhanced CTech’s ability to recruit, train and retain experienced medical transcriptionists. She has assisted in the implementation of medical transcription services for healthcare organizations in Michigan and Ohio working with management to effectively transfer their medical transcription to CTech’s system with minimal interference in patient care documentation. She continues to work with management of these organizations to ensure their patient care documentation is delivered in a timely manner and is of the highest quality. On a daily basis Judi interacts with CTech’s employees both in the US and offshore to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction and assist with problem resolution.

Judi maintains memberships with AAMT and MAMT and has represented CTech at AHIMA and MTIA functions.

Sherrie Brereton
QA Supervisor
Medical Transcription Services


Sherrie has over 18 years experience in medical transcription covering virtually every medical specialty from anatomic pathology to urology and has worked in all types of settings including that of independent contractor, in-house and home-based transcription for acute care facilities, multispecialty clinics, physical therapy centers, psychiatric inpatient hospitals, private physician practices, and a national medical transcription service company.


Sherrie joined CTech in 2002 as supervisor, quality assurance. In addition she functions as the training coordinator. She has developed and implemented training programs for medical transcriptionists in both software applications and transcription practices with emphasis on AAMT standards for both CTech and adult education transcription training programs. Her continued efforts to research and keep current with the ever-changing medical terminology, surgical procedures, and pharmaceuticals is the mainstay of CTech's QA program, which provides consistent feedback to the MTs, thereby utilizing QA as a forum for continued education both in the US and offshore. This coupled with quality audits of CTech's offshore and US-based transcriptionists has enabled CTech to validate and maintain their higher level of quality.
